Imagine, set at the back of the stage, a neat little tiny house inhabited by a slightly clumsy juggler.
Faced with a daily life that is constantly disrupted, she adapts with humour and panache to the gravity of the times.
She carries on, clinging on in this altered, windy, precarious world, without realising that her habits are partly to blame for the upheaval.
And even if, one day, everything were to fly away, she’d manage just fine and carry on making objects dance.
But what would she do if even gravity were disrupted?
*On the Necessity of Gravity* is a visual performance blending juggling, theatre and magic, which tackles the climate crisis and our relationship with the environment with humour and poetry. A production suitable for all ages from 6 years old, inviting young and old alike to share a thoughtful reflection on our changing world.
Juggling to represent everyday life,
Magic to reveal the vertigo of the world,
Humour to survive in between
