The edge of the world as a stage, as a playground.
In precarious balance, a circular track 3 metres in diameter, resting on a levitating pebble,
this is our edge of the world, a gateway to dreams.
Somewhere, on the edge of the end of the world, there is a levitating pebble, a parallel world – light, zany, ethereal – where time stands still… A tiny rock inhabited by a being half-man, half-pebble, a sort of solitary cave-dweller whose peaceful existence is about to be disrupted by
the arrival of a curious traveller. An adventurer with the wind in her heels who carries the circus within her.
How will these two characters learn to get to know one another?
A fantastical circus filled with circus feats and magical bits and bobs – a wonderful family adventure that breathes freedom into the air and awakens a desire to meet new people.
A zany world where gravity is decidedly not the same
Suitable for all ages, including centenarians
Running time:
- 55 mins, suitable for ages 6 and over (Year 1)

A desire for the extraordinary to spark the collective imagination, to reveal our feats and our blunders
PRESS EXCERPT
“Le Plus Petit Cirk Du Bord Du Bout Du Monde”, a show brimming with invention and creativity. Two completely zany protagonists searching for one another yet constantly evading each other amidst juggling, illusion, imagery and magic… somewhere on a planet where one might, unsurprisingly, bump into Saint-Exupéry’s Little Prince…
MAGMA Magazine – 2016
‘Petit Cirk’, a huge success.
[…] This afternoon, the stands will be filled with over 200 pupils who have come to see the Compagnie Opopop’s show. […] The audience is literally swept away into their poetic and offbeat world.[…].
Vosges Matin – 2019
Take your children to another world without leaving the region – it’s all happening at the Cirque-Théâtre d’Elbeuf.
[…] A circus filled with extraordinary little things and ordinary feats performed by the duo, who are constantly seeking stability in this suspended space.
A superb wordless show, designed for children, which plays with shapes, optical illusions and juggling. A minimalist and fantastical circus that inspires a sense of freedom and a desire to connect with others, whilst encouraging us to preserve our planet’s priceless ecosystem.
La Dépèche – 2019
The smallest circus at the edge of the world enchants secondary school pupils on the Ernest Lambert stage in Châtenois.
Vosges Matin – 2020
Homécourt: can dreams help us live on the edge of the world?
[…]This fantastical circus show is particularly well-suited to the imagination of children (and their parents). Wordless, and based on a visual and physical approach to the stage, it blends circus feats, magic and technical tricks in a strange and extravagant world. Juggling, used to advance the narrative, is enhanced by the lighting and a finely crafted musical score. This little patch of ring-side space at the edge of a cliff takes on a poetic flight of fancy. […] A world where gravity is decidedly different.
